Test checkout and reconcile a payment
Availability: Online customer payments are switched off for launch. The screens below use fictional development data. Gateway setup and invoice collection must pass sandbox verification before a business goes live. PowerTranz and Fygaro remain gated while their approved hosted-test setup is obtained.
Run a sandbox test
- A Super Admin opens the business’s saved gateway configuration. Confirm Sandbox / test and saved credentials match the gateway.
- Select Run sandbox test. A TTD 1.00 test opens in a new tab. It has no customer invoice and cannot credit a wallet.
- Use the provider’s test payment method, then return and select Refresh payment status.
- Check that the record says Confirmed. Distinguish Verified provider result from Provider dashboard — admin confirmed. A successful redirect alone does not pass the test.
Finance dashboard confirmation
- A Finance Admin or Super Admin opens the matching business’s provider dashboard using authorized access.
- Check the correct merchant, a successful captured/settled transaction, its invoice/payment reference, amount and currency. An authorization is not a completed payment.
- Select Confirm using provider dashboard. Enter the transaction reference, amount received, currency and a provider report/internal support case reference.
- Confirm that the dashboard was checked, then save. The app records the admin, timestamp and evidence reference and refuses mismatched amounts or duplicate transaction use.
- For an invoice, the same invoice becomes paid and separate receipt emails are queued for the customer and business owner. Test records never send customer emails.
If checkout creation is uncertain or the customer was charged without confirmation, investigate before trying again. Do not confirm from a customer’s screenshot alone. Refunds and disputes remain a separate provider-dashboard reconciliation process.
